The combination of modern design capabilities and traditional skills has allowed Locker & Riley to complete some quite spectacular commercial developments, such as highly complex geometric designs including three-dimensional helical staircases, demanding retailing themes in shopping centres together with vast areas of GRG finishes. GRG (glass reinforced gypsum) is a recent development of fibrous plaster. Instead of reinforcement using hessian and timber lathes, plasterwork is reinforced with glass strands.

The use of continuous glass strands allows us to manufacture a thinner and lighter product where crack resistance is paramount and seamless joins a must; such as shopping centres, airports and office developments and other commercial projects where a high quality of finish is required.
